Whitefish, Montana

Just a short drive from Glacier is Whitefish! It is the cutest little town, full of an array of shops, coffee houses, restaurants & accommodations. No matter what time of year you visit, you'll find plenty of things to do.

It's named one of the "Top 25 Ski Towns in the World" by National Geographic, Whitefish is located on the shores of Whitefish Lake and at the base of Big Mountain-home to Whitefish Mountain Resort.

White Fish Resort - It is a MUST SEE. We visited during the summer but, we still took the chairlift and gondola to the top of the mountain.

You can choose from an enclosed gondola or an open chairlift, then sit back and enjoy the mountain scenery as well as views of Whitefish Lake, the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park on the ride to the summit. Once at the summit, enjoy 360-degree views. There's also a gift shop or & Summit House Bar. Enjoy the view with a beverage.

Dining available until 3pm the days the Scenic Lift is operating.

There are many hiking and mountain biking trails that can be accessed from the summit.
