September in Vail, Colorado

Updated: Feb 17, 2024

We visited Vail for the day during September,. It had the most beautiful terrain! The weather was perfect!

The town is a quaint little European-style village mountain town has so many outdoor fun, events, shopping and dining to offer no matter what time of year you visit. It's the perfect area to slow down & enjoy the surreal scenery.

Things We Did:

Gondola - We took a ride to the top of Vail Mountain. The views are extraordinary.

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens - Botanical center with a wide variety of flowers & plants. It's an amazing place to stroll around and explore all the gardens.

Where We Ate:

El Segundo Vail - They have a great deck for outdoor dining. We relax, had a drink & ate.

TIPS - The elevation of the base village is approximately 8150 ft and the mountain peaks are even higher, getting as high as 11,570 ft BE SURE to hydrate to avoid altitude sickness.
