Pawleys Island

On our road trip as, we were leaving Myrtle Beach and heading to Charleston, we made a stop on the Pawleys Islands. Unfortunately, the weather was kind of icky but, we made the best of it.

We had fun driving around, looking at the amazing homes, seeing the pristine beaches and trying a couple quick food options.

Here are some fun things to do in Pawleys Islands:

Visit the ocean!

Take a stroll about the beach, relax in the sun with your favorite book or take a swim on the

Atlantic’s warm waters! If you're more adventurous this is a great place to surf, skim-board & parasail.

Brookgreen Gardens

Discover the animals at Brookgreen Gardens low country Zoo and the Domestic Animal Farm. Visit the Butterfly House (seasonal), play the Brookgreen Detectives game, or stop in the Children’s Garden.

The Pawleys Island have lots of rivers, inlets and bays to see dolphins, alligators, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

You can also book fun adventures like a wildlife & pirate cruises, banana boat rides, lighthouse shelling and river plantation tours.

At Huntington Beach State Park you'll find miles and miles of white, sandy beaches. There are many docks and walkways overlooking marshes filled with alligators and turtles. The park is also a wonderful place for bird watchers, with more than 300 species logged!
