Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Updated: Feb 17, 2024

Gatlinburg is a mountain resort city. It's nestled just outside the national park, the Great Smokey Mountains. We visited the area in mid-September. The temperatures were absolutely perfect, high 70s to low 80s.

The area has lots of really fun popular attractions for all ages.

Car Museum, Mini Golf, Ripley's, Mountain Coaster, Ober Mountain, Rafting, Anakeesta, Adventure Course, Skypark, Space Needle, Playhouse

THINGS WE DID:

Ober Mountain Tramway - We rode the Aerial Tram up to Ober Gatlinburg. The Tram departs every 20 minutes.

Once at the top you'll find, the Ski Mountain Coaster, indoor ice skating, Scenic Chairlift, water raft rides, kiddie rides, carousel, Wildlife Encounter with bears, otters, and other native animals. In the winter, take the Aerial Tramway to the best skiing and snowboarding around!

Gatlinburg Skypark - The MOST spectacular view of the Smokey Mountains. Ride the yellow chairlift to the best views in Gatlinburg and walk cross the record-breaking SkyBridge, the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America.

WHERE WE ATE -

Flapjack's Pancake Cabin - Super cozy breakfast place. We had their made from scratch pancakes.

Jason Aldean's - We had a drink & lunch here. Loved that they had rooftop by seating. Great place to grab a bite to eat and relax.
