We stayed at the SpringHill Suites Charleston Mount Pleasant, which is located at base of the Ravenel Bridge & just minutes from Historic Charleston. They had stylish modern suites. We honestly weren’t at our hotel much as we were exploring the town.

THINGS WE DID -
Charleston City Market: The City Market is a historic market complex in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Established in the 1790s, the market stretches for four city blocks with over 140 merchants! Whether you're looking for top brands or one-of-a-kind boutiques, you can find them there.
Joe Riley Waterfront Park: This Waterfront Park is an eight-acre park along approximately one-half mile of the Cooper River in Charleston, South Carolina. Take time to explore the area, relax, and soak up the beautiful scenery.
Rainbow Row: Rainbow Row is the name for a series of thirteen colorful historic houses in Charleston, South Carolina. The houses are located north of Tradd St. and south of Elliott St. on East Bay Street, that is, 79 to 107 East Bay Street. There is a series of 13 brightly-colored houses along the waterfront is one of Charleston's most photographed spots and is a spectacular site to see.
Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge: The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, US, connecting downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant.
Historic Horse & Carriage Tour: MUST DO - Travel back to Colonial times aboard a horse-drawn carriage and discover more than 300 years of history on the guided tours. You’ll see many mansions, churches, and gardens.
Charleston Harbor History Cruise: We did the sunset one but they offer daytime ones too. This is a great way to see the Charleston Harbor by boat with a leisurely sightseeing tour along the Cooper River to Fort Sumter National Monument.
It’s a fully-narrated tour about on Charleston, South Carolina history from Civil War sites to antebellum houses and landmarks, passes under Cooper River bridges, and explores a waterfront!
Angel Oak Tree: MUST SEE - (located about 25 minutes from Charleston) The Angel Oak Park is located on Johns Island where you can find what is known as "A Lowcountry Treasure". The Southern Live Oak tree is a historical site and focal point of one of the City of Charleston's public parks. It is considered to be the largest Live Oak Tree east of the Mississippi estimating to be 300 to 400 years old.
